unlike other radio streams i've listened to, air america actually airs its commercials.

i'm listening to the stream b/c there was one thing i hadn't counted on in all of my planning. my air america reception is bad enough in ideal conditions; when i've my computer on, it's that much worse. this, i think, in part explains air america's problem--their ghettoization at the end of the am dial--but there are other problems, which i'll get to.
